Follow these tips to make your KnowStack experience as productive as possible.
Data Quality Tips
- More data is better -- the AI produces richer output when it has more context to work with
- Use relevant date ranges when fetching emails -- very old emails may contain outdated information
- Select specific Slack channels or Telegram chats rather than importing everything indiscriminately
- Upload clean documents -- PDFs with selectable text work better than scanned images
- For meeting transcripts, use AI note-taking tools (Otter.ai, Fireflies, Fathom) that produce structured output
Generation Tips
- Review the section list before generating -- disable sections that do not apply to your use case
- Add custom sections for topics unique to your business
- Choose your output language to match your team's primary language
- After generation, edit the KB to refine AI output -- your edits are preserved in future iterative updates
- Use iterative generation to expand your KB over time rather than regenerating from scratch
Team Collaboration Tips
- Set up roles with appropriate permissions so team members see only what they need
- Use the 'View As' feature to preview what different roles can see
- Enable notifications so your team gets alerted when the KB is updated
- Export to PDF for sharing with external stakeholders who do not have platform access
AI-generated content is a strong starting point, not a finished product. Always review the generated KB for accuracy, especially for critical business processes or compliance-sensitive content.
