Exporting

KnowStack lets you export your Knowledge Base for offline use, sharing with external stakeholders, or backup purposes.

How to Export

  1. Open your Knowledge Base on the Knowledge Base page.
  2. Click the 'Export' button in the left sidebar (below the version selector).
  3. An export modal opens. Choose your preferred format (PDF or CSV).
  4. Click 'Start Export'. The export is processed in the background.
  5. You will receive a notification when the export is ready to download.
  6. Click the download link in the notification to save the file.

The export respects your current view permissions. If you are viewing the KB as a specific role (using 'View As'), the export will only include sections that role can access.

Large Knowledge Bases may take a minute or two to export. Do not start multiple exports simultaneously -- wait for one to complete before starting another.
