The Candidate Experience

Whether internal or external, candidates see a clean, focused test-taking interface designed to minimize distractions and clearly show remaining time.

  1. Landing page -- shows the test title, description, question count, and total time allowed
  2. Start -- the candidate enters their name (external only) and clicks Begin to start the timer
  3. Questions -- presented one at a time with a countdown to the total deadline and a question counter
  4. Answering -- candidates can navigate between questions and revise answers until they submit
  5. Submit -- the candidate submits, and automatic grading begins in the background
  6. Results -- visible once the HR manager releases scores; the candidate sees their score, pass/fail status, and any feedback

A heartbeat tracks the candidate's current position during the test. If the browser closes unexpectedly, they can resume from the same question without losing answers.
