Notifications

KnowStack sends notifications for important events like completed KB generation, email fetch progress, team changes, and support ticket updates. You can receive these as in-app notifications (bell icon) and optionally via email.

In-App Notifications

The notification bell in the top right corner of the dashboard header shows a count of unread notifications. Click it to open the notification center, where you can:

  • View all recent notifications with timestamps
  • Click on a notification to navigate to the relevant page
  • Mark notifications as read
  • Clear all notifications

Email Notification Preferences

Go to Settings, select the Notifications tab to configure your email notification preferences:

  • Global email toggle -- Turn email notifications on or off entirely
  • Background Jobs -- Choose All, Failures only, or None for notifications about crawls, fetches, and generation jobs
  • Team & Invitations -- Notifications about new team members, invitation status changes
  • Knowledge Base -- Notifications about KB generation completion, conflicts detected
  • Support Tickets -- Notifications about ticket replies and status changes

Unsubscribe

Every notification email includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it will disable email notifications for that category. You can also unsubscribe from all email notifications directly from the Settings page.
