Abandonment and Retakes

Abandonment

If a candidate starts a test but does not submit before the time limit expires, a background processor automatically closes the assignment. Answers they did provide are scored; unanswered questions count as incorrect. The assignment is marked Completed so it appears in analytics alongside finished attempts.

Retakes

Retakes are handled by creating a new assignment to the same candidate. Each assignment is independent and gets its own fresh question snapshot (which may differ if you regenerated questions in the meantime). You decide whether to allow a retake based on the original score and your policy.
